| Events | | | 14 June 2010 - Delegation of the Constitutional Court of BiH, composed of the President, Prof. Dr. Miodrag Simović, Judge Mirsad Ćeman and Head of the Office of the President, Dr. iur. Nedim Ademović attended the Regional Conference of Constitutional Law Judges entitled „Independence of Constitutional Courts“ held from 10 to 13 June 2010 in Ohrid, the Republic of Macedonia. Conference was organized by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia and German Government Foundation „Konrad Adenauer“. In addition to the BH delegation, the Conference was attended by the delegations from the South-East Europe, Federal Republic of Germany and European Court of Human Rights, Strasbourg.
The participants of the Conference emphasized the independence of the constitutional courts as one of the fundamental prerequisites for the effective protection of the constitutional system including efficient protection of individual and group human rights and freedoms. It was also emphasized that the issue of independence of the constitutional courts is a very complex one and the constitutional courts are still faced with certain problems, especially in terms of financial and organizational independence of the constitutional courts.
